INSTITUTE ON RENAISSANCE MUSIC
ACDA Eastern Division is proud to present its second biennial
pre-conference institute, and invite you to consider registering as an
auditor.
The Institute in Providence will focus on music of the Renaissance

Fagiolini) and Eamonn Dougan (The
Sixteen).
Over the course of the two days you will:
Discover the conductor's various roles in leading Renaissance music.
Solve problems of vocal range and timbres in motets, madrigals and anthems.
Explore how text, music, symbolism, structure, and technique converge.
Learn to hear what is actually being sung rather than what you think you hear.
Dates: February 14-15, 2012.
